"When Steve is selected to sing the national anthem at the Langley Falls Veterans' Day celebration, he gets some heat from Stan who doesn't think he's ready for such an undertaking. Unimpressed with Steve's vocal talents, Stan decides Steve needs to experience real war in order to sing about our country's military prowess. But things quickly go south when Roger gets involved and Steve goes bananas."

I couldn't really get into the main story, though I'm glad the show is using some of its secondary characters. The subplot was slightly more amusing.
Also, this episode aired a little early if it was meant to be a Veterans' Day story.

I agree with Fish, there was something about the "puh puh puh" of the Helicopter carts that just cracked me up. I was also impressed with the cutaway animations for the Nam scene and Roger's tripping out.
It was a decent episode overall I thought.

Awesome way to start the new season! Loved the Vietnam war reenactments, and the songs from Jefferson Airplane and Creedence Clearwater Revival! Loved Roger's Three Stooges impersonations and his hallucination scene! The best and funniest part of all was "Mind Quad"! That had me on the floor! Excellent season premire! I give it 5/5!

Good episode. I liked the drama between Steve and Stan, and like Fish said, the helicopter sounds were good. The Mind Quad thing was freaky, and I also liked Roger's tripping out scene with his special dinner with his bird he ate under a cloth and the Barbara Streisand thing. 4/5.
