this or the Meg Show?
« on: August 24, 2009, 06:27:19 PM »

Seriously, what would be worse?

As much as I hate Mcfarlane's personal views, I always thought he was a genious for Family Guy. Always respected that creativity, until now. This Cleveland show idea is about as good as Julia Louis Dreifus starring in her own spin off show after Seinfeld. He has really sold out on this one, pure crap.

No idea. Maybe the show is doing an improvement after episode 3 or something.

The Meg show, would have been a better idea, then the Cleveland show, in my opinion. I believe that Meg's show could be better then, The Cleveland show & Family Guy.

In the pliot (my version), after Meg graduates from James Woods High School, she plans on going to college, but finds out her family spent her whole college fund on themselves, and on top of that, they forgot her 18 birthday. So then Meg decided that enough was enough, she moves out on her own in a small college dorm room with a goth girl as a room mate. Some of the characters from Family Guy will be their, like Meg's old friends, Neil Goldman, and her archenemy Connie DiMigo will be their too and her friend Lisa (renamed Gina) as well. Along with some new friends and the teachers are to laugh at, as well.

It's still a little weak I know, but i'm still working on it.  But if you want to support Meg getting a show, head over to Gopetition.com and sign the petition for Meg's own show.

And you think that just because of a few guys signing a petition they will do ANOTHER show?

It's not that bad. I personally would prefer a  Quagmire spin off, but then Family Guy wouldn't be that good anymore.

Okay, first of all Vercoars, yes hopefully it they will.  And if you don't like it, or you think it's a stupid idea, i've got this to say, deal with it.  And second, i'm sad to say Vic De Zen, but that's not happening, as Seth explained in a interview, "Quagmire is not a guy you want to invite into your home on a weekly basis", and he went on to say, "nobody wants to see a show about a rapist."  And here's what I heard from a magazine, " Quagmire works as an ancillary character, hes an utterly despicable human being, someone who doesnt have enough of a wholesome streak to be a leading character.  Sorry to be cruel, but it's what I found out

A Meg spin off wouldn't have been too bad. I'd have watched it  :)

Yeah, I mean look how it worked for Daria, but Seth or the Fox network don't want any family member getting a show of their own, because the show is already about them.  But I still feel strongly about getting Meg a spin-off.

As much as I love Meg, I don't believe enough people like her for such a show to last.  I'd sure enjoy it while it lasts though. :-D

how can anyone say a meg spin-off would be better? Meg isn't even a character, she just exists to be the butt of jokes. At least Cleaveland is "the annoying black guy". that's more than meg will ever be

Well Nate, I would rather watch a animated teenager trying her hardest to fit in, and led a nice normal life, then watch the same thing i've already seen in Family Guy, the only difference is they can make MORE black jokes.

Me too vasglorious. The Meg spinoff would be a differant format and for once will not be about a family. Give the strong female writers and those who know how to write for teen girls and teens and it would be great.
